Instructions (Part I): Click here and make an account with Scratch. Once logged in, click “Ideas” on the main menu then click the “Choose a tutorial” box below. Follow along with the tutorials to learn how to create the “Chase” game or the “Pong” game. See screenshot below.

Instructions (Part II): Carefully follow along with the below video to create your own “jumping game” in Scratch

Instructions (Part III): Using your what you learned above in “Parts I and II”, design your own, unique, modified game that leverages the up, down, left, and right arrow.

Instructions (Part IV): Copy a public link to your Scratch game and paste the link below.  Click here on instructions for making your game public. You will need to verify your email address with Scratch in order to share your project publicly. Type your first name in the “Subject” area.

Instructions (Part I): Open your MakeyMakey kit and and carefully lay out all of the materials. See the below image below and view the videos that follow. 

Instructions (Part II): Carefully study the below video to learn how to set up and begin using your MakeyMakey.

Instructions (Part III): Using the above video as a guide, and the materials provided, build a MakeyMakey controller for the Scratch game you created earlier today. Test and revise your controller by playing your game with it a number of times.  

Instructions (Part IV): Record a video of you using your MakeyMakey controller to play your Scratch game. Type your first name in the “Subject” area. A QR code is provided below for ease of upload.

Instructions (Part IV): Record and upload video of you playing your MakeyMakey musical instrument. Your Scratch code should be made visible at some point during your recording. Type your first name in the “Subject” area. A QR code is provided below for ease of upload.
