First we need to make sure our drones are charged. Follow the directions below to get your drone charged up.
1. Insert the battery (with the tab facing upwards) and slide it in from the back of the drone as shown below.
2. Charge via the micro USB port on the side as shown below.
Tello can be operated with DroneBlocks by launching a pre-programmed mission or by selecting one command black at a time, beginning with the takeoff block. For the lengthier challenges towards the end of this curriculum, it is best the mission be programmed before powering on Tello and connecting via the hotspot. This is recommended to allow for optimal flight time because each battery allows for approximately 13 minutes of flight time. Programming and troubleshooting mission code before connecting provides more power for flight!
