More people can build software today than at any point in history, because you can describe what you want and AI helps make it. That does not replace builders, it makes room for more of them. The people who can turn an idea into a working, shipped app are in demand everywhere, from startups to the port's own tech teams. Today you become one of them.

Build your app with AI and put it on the internet with a link you can share.

By the end you can
  • Turn an idea into a working web app using AI
  • Improve it by describing the changes you want
  • Deploy it to a live link and open it on your phone

🛠️ Main Challenge
Build and ship
  1. Open ChatGPT and sign in. Grab the idea you picked last session.
  2. Paste your prompt: "Build a single-page web app that does [WHAT]. The user types in [INPUT]. It shows back [OUTPUT]. Put it all in one HTML file with a clean, simple design."
  3. Read what it builds. Test it. Then improve it by asking, for example "make the button bigger," "add a second box," or "use brighter colors." Keep going until you like it.
  4. Save the HTML your AI made into a file on the desktop.
  5. Go to Netlify Drop and drag your file in. In a few seconds you get a live web link. Your teacher can help with this step.
  6. Open your link on your phone. You just shipped an app to the internet.

  • Add one more feature you did not plan for.
  • Make it look great, colors, a title, an icon.
  • Post your live link on the class board so everyone can try it.
🗣️ Showcase
  • Show your live app and say what problem it solves.
  • Name one thing the AI got wrong that you had to fix. That fix is the skill.
🏁 Four Successful Sessions

You trained an AI, learned to catch it lying, audited it for fairness, and today you built and shipped your own app. That is the full picture of working with AI, and you did every part of it. Screenshot your live link, it is the first thing in your portfolio.

  • Lead with "I ship things." That is rare and it hires.
