Part A: Breadboard Circuits

STEP 1:  Watch the video below to learn how a breadboard works and how to build a push-button LED circuit. For additional information if needed, watch this video,  this video, and follow this full tutorial, which outline similar processes with a slightly different wiring variations. 

STEP 2: Using the information in the above tutorials, try making two versions of the circuit: one where the LED turns on when you press the button, and another where it turns off when you press the button. As you build, pay close attention to how the wiring changes between the two circuits to make each one work. 

STEP 3:  Using what you learned in STEPS 1 and 2, design your own circuit with at least 2 LEDs and 2 buttons. Be creative—for example, one LED could be on by default while the other turns on only when a button is pressed. This is just one idea—make it your own! When finished, record a video showing your circuit in action and upload it using the QR code below.  In the “Subject” area, include your first name and/or your team members’ names.
