Activity #2: Egg Drop
Materials: eggs, straws, string, rubber bands, tape, ladder or stool (drop height ~ 10 -15 ft), safety glasses
Part 1: Watch the video below and follow the instructions to build your egg for the egg drop challenge.
Part 2: Test your design from a height and location decided by your teacher. Observe other team’s as they test as well. Reflect on your observations and make any modifications needed. You may need to acquire a new egg if yours broke during testing. Record your modifications in your workbook. Wear safety glasses.
Part 3: When ready, record a video of your final egg drop and share below. Type your first name(s) in the “Subject” area. A QR code is provided below for ease of upload.
