Day 2 (Introduction to Game Design)
Instructions (Part I): Carefully view the below videos to learn about the field of Game Design.
Instructions (Part II): To build your first video game you will be using the “Self Paced Introduction to Game Lab” via “code.org”. Click here to enter, sign in, and create your own account as a student. Save your username in a place you won’t forget! See screenshots below.
Instructions (Part III): Once logged in, scroll down to the bottom of the “My Dashboard” page and enter the code “XVSFXZ”, click “Join section” as shown in the screenshot below.
Instructions (Part IV): Once you have joined the section successfully, you will click to join the “Self Paced Introduction to Game Lab” as shown in the screenshot below.
Instructions (Part V): Complete Lessons 1-4 as shown in the screenshot below. Although you will be completing these lessons individually, work next to a partner or group so you can share ideas and troubleshoot together!
